- Our communities
- Health care, educational and arts groups
- Philanthropic organizations
In 1995, grants of $5.6 million were made by the Company and the Foundation. In addition, employees serve as volunteers in many educational, cultural and charitable programs at the local, state and national levels.
Protecting the Environment

Recognized for our efforts to protect the environment, in 1994, Schering-Plough became the first facility in New Jersey -- and in the United States -- to obtain a comprehensive facility-wide environmental permit. The permit, which marks the culmination of Schering-Plough's voluntary participation in New Jersey's landmark pollution prevention program, covers all air emissions, waste water discharges and solid waste management for our manufacturing operations in Kenilworth, N.J.
