Come backstage to the Greenroom at Lincoln Center! The stars of ABC will be gearing up to present the new fall season. But before they go onstage, they're going online with you.

ABC, Netscape, and AT&T are teaming up to bring you a Live Backstage Chat featuring the very latest chat technology. The new Netscape "Chat" software allows you to experience real-time chat on the Web. Take a moment to download the "Chat Client", then join us in the Greenroom! And get your questions ready!

Auditorium seating is limited to 150 participants. If the auditorium is full, check back with us later. Space may become available as other users exit the auditorium. A transcript of the proceedings will be available after the event.

For Windows clients:

  1. If the Netscape Chat Icon appears on your desktop simply click on it to st art.

    If the Netscape Chat Icon is not visible on the desktop do the following: Click the Start button you will be presented with a list of folders, choose P rograms. This will bring up a list of programs find Netscape Chat 32bit and click on it.

  2. At this point you will be presented with a Server Connection window enter t he following and click the OK button.

    User Account Login:

    Nick Name and User Account login are arbitrary names that you choose. If you get an error saying a person with the same nickname is already connected simply change your nickname.

  3. A quick Join box will be on your screen select Join to enter the chat room.

    If the Quick Join box does not appear at this time select the Rooms button from the menu bar at the top of the screen. Select the room #ABCTV and click the Join Button.

  4. To send a meesage in the chat room type your text in the message box and hit enter.

For MAC clients:

  1. After installing, click on the Netscape Chat Icon to start.

  2. At this point you will be presented with a Server Connection window. Enter the following and click the OK button.

    Nick Name:
    User Account Login:
